Cannabinoids, like marijuana and hashish, cause changes in mood and sensations, disturbances in coordination and short-term memory, restlessness, hallucinations and delusions, depression, confusion, and increased heart rate. Marijuana is most often smoked as cigarettes, but it can also be eaten. The main metabolite THC excreted in urine is detectable 8-16 hours at the earliest but up to 28 days after smoking marijuana. Even just staying in a "marijuana cave" can cause the THC concentration in the urine to show up in the tests.
